TMNT 2012-Shredder and Splinter practice sketchesby ~nanashi

I’m determined to get these guys right. Splinter is tricky because I get too distracted trying to get the markings on his fur right. Shredder is the most difficult character to draw because of all his spiky armor. Plus 90% of his appearances are in the dark, so it’s tough to make out the details of his costume.

Excellent sketches.

I've enjoyed your little scribble pictures with the boys and April, but this is very nice.

This Splinter design is definitely the most complex we've had of any incarnation - but is he ever my favorite. I'm so glad they made him younger and taller... he doesn't look like he'd fall over into his grave after a rough battle..

Your shading looks great - keeps his face looking furry and a bit round, but he doesn't look like a dog.

Shredder looks good too - I just wish his armor didn't look so exaggerated on the show. I can't wait to see what the history between Splinter and Shredder will be, prior to the whole fire with Shen and Splinter's daughter.

takes those nostalgia glasses off and enjoy the damn show it ain't bad, yeah the animation looks weird but it fits the mood of the show,yeah some character takes some time to get used to, like april and donatello's gap in his teeth but that's pretty much it. i say its the best turtle show ever yes even better than the 80's ver.

I think the 80/90 was the best time of the turtles, but I like the program, now try to enjoy it and not compare both

ne's a great and enjoyable cartoon that people grew up on the original and the other is the same thing a great and enjoyable cartoon for many new generations for kids.
